Job Title: Sales Head – Mutual Fund (FinTech Company)

Job Summary:
The Head of Department (HOD) for Wealth Profile focusing on Mutual Funds, Fixed Deposits (FDs), and Demat Accounts will lead and manage the strategic direction of these specific wealth management services. This role requires a deep understanding of mutual funds, fixed deposit products, Demat accounts, and other wealth management solutions, enabling the delivery of personalized investment and savings strategies for clients. The HOD will oversee the team, enhance operational efficiencies, drive business growth, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and manage the wealth profile team, providing strategic direction and ensuring high performance across mutual funds, FDs, and Demat account services.
Develop and mentor team members to improve their skills and performance.
Establish clear departmental goals, KPIs, and targets aligned with overall business objectives.
Product Expertise & Advisory:
Lead the creation and implementation of personalized wealth management strategies focusing on mutual funds, FDs, and Demat account offerings.
Provide expert advice to clients on mutual fund investments, fixed deposits, and managing their Demat accounts.
Ensure that clients are educated about product features, risks, and benefits to make informed investment decisions.
Monitor market trends, analyze economic conditions, and identify opportunities for clients in these wealth categories.
Client Relationship Management:
Build strong relationships with existing clients and ensure they receive excellent advisory services on mutual funds, FDs, and Demat accounts.
Provide tailored recommendations to clients based on their financial goals, risk profiles, and investment preferences.
Regularly review client portfolios to ensure they remain aligned with clients’ evolving needs and market conditions.
Proactively resolve any client issues or concerns related to mutual fund transactions, FD investments, or Demat account operations.
Business Development & Sales:
Drive business development efforts, identifying new clients and expanding the existing portfolio in mutual funds, FDs, and demat accounts.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and campaigns to attract new clients and cross-sell wealth management products.
Conduct seminars, webinars, or workshops to increase awareness about the wealth profile offerings.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure that all mutual fund investments, fixed deposits, and Demat account operations comply with industry regulations and legal standards.
Work closely with the compliance team to manage regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments in practices.
Monitor and mitigate potential risks related to the investment products and services offered by the department.
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive client information.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Set clear KPIs and performance metrics for the wealth profile department, tracking the effectiveness of mutual fund, FD, and Demat account strategies.
Review departmental performance regularly and provide insights on areas of improvement.
Provide monthly/quarterly reports to senior management on departmental activities, client satisfaction, and revenue growth.
Operational Efficiency:
Oversee the smooth and efficient functioning of mutual fund transactions, FD management, and Demat account operations.
Ensure that all client requests, from investments in mutual funds to Demat account openings or fixed deposit renewals, are processed quickly and accurately.
Work with operational teams to streamline processes and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, or AMFI (for mutual funds), NISM (for securities), or similar qualifications are preferred.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in wealth management, focusing on mutual funds, fixed deposits, and demat accounts.
At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within the wealth management industry.
Proven experience in managing and expanding portfolios related to mutual funds, FD products, and demat services.
Skills:
Expertise in financial products such as mutual funds, fixed deposits, and demat accounts.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance related to mutual funds and other wealth management products.
Ability to analyze and understand market trends and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in financial software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
